Club Rules
All skaters are expected to behave appropriately when taking part in any Club-sponsored activity, or when representing the club. The following outline has been compiled by the LFSC Executive and Coaches to promote safety, good behavior, and productive use of ice time. Skaters not adhering to this outline may be asked to leave the ice. Parents will be informed.

Code Of Conduct

• Skaters are to use designated dressing rooms. For security reasons, friends are asked to wait outside.
• Skaters are required to act in a courteous and polite manner in all parts of the arena (lobby, dressing rooms, on ice, etc) and toward the executive, Coaches, music player, supervising parents, other skaters and arena staff.
• Coaches are in charge while on the ice; this may involve asking skaters to behave appropriately or issuing time outs.

Safety Rules

• No eating food or chewing gum while on the ice.
• Get up immediately after a fall. Lying around is dangerous for everyone.
• Appropriate skating attire is required for all skating sessions. Avoid scarves and overly long pants that can become safety hazards.
• Hair must not interfere with vision while skating. If not short, hair must be pinned or tied back from face.

Schedule Exceptions
Skating is cancelled on holidays. Skating will take place as scheduled on school closures due to inclement weather and PD days. Please check calendar on website.

Refunds
Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing within 2 weeks of the start of the session. Any requests for refunds due to medical conditions will require doctors’ certificates and will be pro-rated. An administration fee of $50 will apply to all refunds.

Carnival
To showcase our skaters, the Lacombe Figure Skating Club holds an Ice Carnival. This annual event includes skaters from all of our programs. It is an excellent way to finish the season – and a real hit with participants and spectators alike! The Carnival is scheduled for March 11, 2012. Due to practice necessary to make the show a success, regular Preschool CanSkate and CanSkate lessons will finish on February 8 and carnival practice will begin February 13.

You can look forward to receiving more information about the Carnival as the season progresses! A newsletter outlining carnival groups, a revised schedule, and costume details will be available in early 2012.

There is no casino scheduled for this season.

Annual Christmas Wreath Campaign
As in the past 11 years, our Club will be selling beautiful, fresh, all-natural wreaths made of pine and spruce. The cost is $27.00 per wreath. Each family will be required to sell $81.00 in wreaths (3 wreaths). We will also be selling birdseed cottages, wreaths, & trees.

STARSkate Associate / Drop–in Membership
This type of membership is being offered by the Club on a year-by-year basis depending upon current enrollment. There will be a $50 administration fee for those whose home club is Lacombe and a $25 administration for those associated with another club.

Day/Time: During regular STARSkate sessions
Cost: $10.00 per hour drop-in fee, this fee will be collected by the coaches and forwarded to the Club

Punch cards can be purchased for $100 in advance. They will be valid for 10 skates (one skate is one hour). The club will not be responsible for lost or stolen cards. Unused balances will be reimbursed at the end of the season.
