Jade Dunlop
Hi! I’m Jade Dunlop. I am a current student studying for my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I skated with Lacombe Skating Club for over twelve years. While I skated with Lacombe I achieved my Triple Gold Award, completing three disciplines of StarSkate. I have loved every moment with this club so much that I couldn’t leave and I chose my post secondary program close to home so I could continue my skating journey here now coaching.
I am a current Canskate and Regional coach in-training, and plan to continue to progress my coaching career in the years to come. I am a reflection of SkateCanada and hope to instill the love of skating for life. Skating not only teaches discipline and hard work, but also expression of oneself, which develops life skills and character. My focus as a coach is to build a love of skating whether competitive or recreational, through quality basics, personal expression, and fun. I am thrilled to be coaching for Lacombe and looking forward to this season!
See you soon!
Lily McNeill
Hello my name is Lily McNeill and I'm so honoured to be a CanSkate coach for the Lacombe Skating Club. I've been with the club for years either as a skater and/or Program Assistant. I truly adore working with the kids in CanSkate and PreCanSkate. I love teaching almost as much as I love my two cats Cosmo and Flint. I'm also planning to attend Red Deer Polytechnic in the fall for a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
Gina Belich (retired from on-ice coaching but still providing valuable support to our club!)
Hello,
I have been coaching since 2010 and this will be my 11th season with the Lacombe Skating Club. I am a Certified Regional Coach and have completed the Provincial Coach Training. I coach all disciplines from STAR-1 to Gold including; dance freeskate, interpretive and skating skills. I offer both group and private lessons. My coaching philosophy is to instill a love of skating in each skater and assist them to reach their goals whether it is competitive or recreational. I want each skater to feel that being on the ice is their happy place; where they can reach their goals, build confidence and friendships and develop skills that will last them a lifetime.
